Project Integration Management

  Project Integration Management is the first stage in the project management processes. From the keyword “integration” itself, it incorporates all other knowledge areas in project management. There are seven processes in this area. The first process which is to develop a project charter is required before any succeeding processes will be performed because the project charter is the document or the evidence that gives the authority to commence the said project. Once the project charter is already present, the next step is to develop the Project Management Plan. This is document that defines how the project should be executed, monitored and controlled, and closed. This process is the signal for initiating other knowledge areas. The initial output of other knowledge areas are incorporated in the Project Management Plan. The development of this plan is not a one-time activity.
